■概要（私たちについて）
VOLVOX（＊１）ART TROOPは、アートの力で地域活性や協力的コミュニティを実現することを目的としたアーティストグループです。染川明義（＊２）（多くの地域活性に尽力している）がこのART TROOPの団長であり、ASTRO温泉（＊３）がそのメインメンバーです。

私たちは、VOLVOXのような、互いに助け合い生きていくことが面白いと考え、そしてそのような生き方こそが、私たち人間に今こそ必要だと考えます。

■About us
VOLBOX(*1) ART TROOP is an artists group which aims to activate regions and realize
cooperative communities through the power of art. AKIYOSHI SOMEKAWA (VOLVO 13)(*2) is in charge of VOLVOX ART TROOP, who works for many areas to cheer the regions up and ASTRO ONSEN (*3) is its main member.

(VOLVOX(*1)－It is a plankton which is made of many single-celled organism, each organism is independent and plays one’s own role but cooperative with each other.)
(AKIYOSHI SOMEKAWA(*2)－Director of Institute of Human culture and Arts, ex-Director of　Osaka NPO Center, a Member of Council for Promotion of NANIWA culture, Arts, and Performing Arts, and Art Producer, a Counselor for activating regions in Kansai area, Japan. )
(ASTRO ONSEN(*3)－An artists unit which consists of 3 artists who graduated from 　Osaka University of Arts. )

We think live and help each other like VOLVOX is interesting, and it is this way of living that we human beings need now. We are taking many kinds of actions to attain our goal.

    • 恒常的に寄付が集まるしくみとしての募金箱運動
    • アートによる地域活性化事業

“Eco & Peace NARA” (an event which aims to support NPO in terms of finance through　improving the ability of collecting money and familiarizing theirinformation.)
“Permanent campaign to raise money with collection boxes”
Produce many campaigns for Refreshing towns or cities with art.

■新しいプロジェクト

  • GO GO　Tuvalu　Project
    「海洋生物は美しいスキンパターンを持っている」
    私たちはこの事実を、いくつかの海洋生物をスキャニングし、スキンパターンを取り込み、それを拡大したときに偶然見つけました。そしてついに、何回もの試行錯誤の結果、数点のオリジナルのデザインを創ることに成功しました。
    　私たちは、このアイデアをツバル（地球温暖化の影響で沈み行く国としてすでに有名な国）の人々のために、彼らの生活をサポートするために使えないか、と考えています。
    しかし、私たちの意味する「サポート」とはいわゆる一般的な「サポート（経済的、人的）」とは意味が異なっています。私たちは、ツバルの人々の仕事創り、ビジネスチャンス創りをすることで彼らをサポートしようと考えています。つまり、将来的には私たちとツバルの人々はビジネスパートナーとなる、ということです。
    　私たちの最終的なゴールは、世界中の港町を巻き込み、環境に対する意識を高めることです。また同時に、このプロジェクトがビジネスとして成功することで、多くのアーティストを元気づけることができ、そして彼らはさらに社会問題へ積極的になることでしょう。
    　私たちは、この種のビジネスモデルが２１世紀の市場をリードするだろう、と信じており、私たちはこのGO GO Tuvaluプロジェクトがそのよい例になると期待しています。

■New project

  • “GO GO Tuvalu Project”
    Marine life has beautiful skin pattern- we found this fact by chance when we scanned some　marine life, got their skin image, and magnified it. Finally,we’ve succeeded to create some original designs after several attempts.
    We wonder if we could use this idea for people in Tuvalu, it’s already been famous for the sinking country because of green house effect, to support their life. But our “support” means different from what is called “support (just money or help)” , we try to support Tuvalu by means of producing jobs and opportunities of business for Tuvalu people. In short, we will become business partners in the future.
    Our final goal is that a lot of port towns all over the world involve in this project and provoke a consciousness against environment. At the same time, being success as a business cheer up many artists and they will become more active to social problems.
    We believe this type of social business model will lead world markets in 21st century, and we hope this GO GO Tuvalu project will become one good example of it.
